Beautiful story on UFC champion Francis Ngannou and the non-profit combat sport training academy that he established in his home country of Cameroon.
The kids in his hometown are sent to work in the sand mines at a very young age. Opportunity for upward mobility is hard to come by, but Ngannou is determined to change that.
The entire article is worth a read this weekend—deeply inspiring.

SWIFT is all over the news right now given its potential role as part of a comprehensive sanctions package against Russia in retaliation for their invasion of Ukraine.
I was doing research for a thread and came across this Planet Money episode on an incredible heist that attempted to expose the SWIFT system.
Hackers calling themselves "The Lazarus Group" tried to steal $1 billion from the Bank of Bangladesh. This short podcast on the tale is too good to miss.
